John S. Rosania is an experienced civil litigator with over 20 years in practice. Primarily, he handles insurance defense, insurance coverage, contract interpretation and enforcement disputes, collection matters, personal injury, construction disputes, commercial and general civil litigation. He has litigated numerous jury and courtside trials in Connecticut state courts, as well as private binding arbitration proceedings and mediated settlements of simple and complex civil claims.
In his previous experience in private practice, Attorney Rosania was involved as counsel for large insurance companies in the defense of insurance coverage claims brought against them by insured chemical manufacturers and landfill owners/operators suing for defense and indemnity under Comprehensive General Liability policies for CERCLA clean-up and remediation of contaminated sites.
Before entering private practice, Attorney Rosania worked as a research attorney with non-partisan staff for the Judiciary Committee of the Connecticut General Assembly analyzing and describing the legal effect of proposed and enacted legislation, and conducting surveys of other states’ laws in emerging fields or hot topic areas of law falling under the Judiciary Committee’s jurisdiction.
Attorney Rosania was raised in Wethersfield, Connecticut, where he attended the town’s public schools. He received his bachelor’s degree with magna cum laude honors from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, and graduated from Fordham University School of Law. Attorney Rosania is married and lives with his wife and three sons in Bolton, Connecticut. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching and participating in sports activities with his children.
