      John A. Cvejanovich is a trial lawyer with 30 years of continuous, rigorous litigation experience. Much of his practice falls within two areas: Personal Injury Law and Special Education Law. As a personal injury lawyer, Attorney Cvejanovich represents plaintiffs and defendants, and individuals as well as corporations/insurance carriers. He has tried more than 100 trials and handled more than two dozen appeals, including highly complex litigation.

      As a Special Education lawyer, Attorney Cvejanovich represents only the families of special needs children in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. He has over 10 years’ experience helping children qualify for protection under the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA), assisting families in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEP) and assisting them in preparing for, and representing them, at PPT (Pupil Planning Team) conferences and Due Process Hearings. As the parent of a special needs child, Attorney Cvejanovich is personally and professionally committed to protecting the education rights of special needs children.

      After graduating from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and political science, Attorney Cvejanovich received his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University in 1977. He served as associate counsel and senior trial attorney at Travelers Insurance Company and in his own law practice prior to joining O’Connell, Flaherty & Attmore’s Springfield office in 1992. He is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts and Connecticut, and the United States Supreme Court.
