Attorney Sklar graduated summa cum laude from Adelphi University in 1974 and is a 1977 honors graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law. She was admitted to the Connecticut State and Federal District Courts in 1977 and she has appeared and argued before the State of Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Courts.
Attorney Sklar is a member of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Hartford Association of Women Attorneys. She is a member of the Go-The-Distance Team for the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, founded by Paul Newman for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses, and successfully completed her second New York Marathon in 2005 to benefit the Camp.
